We will recruit volunteers from several churches, including Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Excelsior United Methodist, as well as local civic groups, school groups, local sport teams and the friends and neighbors of the recipient family. How You Can Help Please drop off items at our donation bin at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 Oak Street, Excelsior OR contact us to make an appointment at our resource center (open by appointment only). We are in need of volunteers Pick up food donations at local businesses Deliver food and essentials (contact free - leave at their door) Social media Needed items for families: Paper products and cleaning supplies Fabric masks Gas cards Uber cards Diapers and pullups Sweatpants, yoga pants, t-shirts and sweatshirts Personal care products for all family members Quarters / donations for laundry - many are living in motels and it costs approximately $25 for them to do their laundry Gift cards, especially grocery, gas and discount store Financial support for truck and trailer rentals to assist families moving - consider sponsoring one or two rentals a year...a tax deductible yet priceless gift in honor of a loved one Volunteers to help move families into housing; helpful if you have a truck or trailer Volunteers to help process donations and serve at special events - we practice social distancing!
