His House Foundation
His House Foundation (HHF) is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian community-based human service ministry. Our foundation intends to serve our community by providing direct services to families in need and to serve as a catalyst for increased sharing within our community. Our vision is rooted in the belief that when people act in response to human need, giving what they have without seeking profit or interest, we believe God magnifies the effects of our efforts. We believe that we are on this human journey together, and the community we build together will be more for the sharing and less for the withholding of the gifts of each person.
  • Basic Care Assistance Program: Identify and address economic needs and help connect people in need with state or federal programs for which they may be eligible. In addition, we partner with other non-profits in the area and may be able to refer people in need to services they provide such as car maintenance.

  • Abundance Food Program: In partnership with Carver County and local food providers such as restaurants, churches, and grocery stores, our Abundance food program complements local food shelf services. We collect perishable food items and redistribute them to people in need. This connection assists people in need AND minimizes food waste.

  • Families Moving Forward Partner: we are a partner with Families Moving Forward and assist with basic needs and starter kits of furniture and household items when homeless families transition to obtaining a home.

  • The Giving Tree: Starting in mid-November we begin collecting wishes from our HHF families and share these wishes on giving trees at local churches. Our hope is to provide gifts and/or gift cards that are wishes and not just needs so our HHF families may celebrate the true spirit of Christmas.
